What is a liveable community?
It is a community that includes factors making it sustainable and providing a good quality of life for its residents.
How is a liveable community achieved?
It can be done by:
-Lowering negative factors such as crime, pollution, and poverty
-Increasing positive factors such as education, health-care, and employment
-Doing things in a sustainable way, such as reducing ecological footprint and making less waste
What is the difference between urban and rural?
Urban refers to the city while rural refers to the country (outside of the city).
What is ecological footprint (EF)?
It is the measure of resource use per person or total impact on an ecosystem.
This can be expressed as the number of hectares per productive land that is needed to support the person.
What is urban hierarchy?
The order of urban hierarchy is:
Hamlet -> village -> town -> suburb -> city -> metropolis.
These different types of places to live are known as urban hierarchy.
