Brahmaputra River
The Brahmaputra River starts in the Himalaya Mountains and winds down the snow capped mountains and narrow canyons.
Deccan Plateau
Large rocks from volcanoes are around the land, there are thin forests and a few rivers. There is rich black soil for farming, but is fairly dry.
Ganges River
The river carries many sediments, have a good water supply, and goes through ice, rocks, mountains, and valleys. It can destroy crops when flooding.
Himalaya Mountains
The Himalayas are located along the northern border of India. They are the tallest mountain range in the world. It has cold glaciers and dump a lot of snow during storms.
Indus River
The water comes from the Hindu Kush Mountain and provides water for the greatest farmlands. It carries sediments for rich and fertile soil.
Thar Desert
The land is mostly sand and stone. It has grass and low hardy shrubs that aren’t much. The heat is unbearable, there are no rivers, and few animals live there.
Hindu Kush Mountains
The mountains create a fierce barrier against Afghanistan. Many parts are unlivable with snow, ice, and steep land.
Eastern and Western Ghats
They are long mountain chains near the coast of India. The western ghats are steep and the eastern ghats is to dry and has tropical plants.
Brahmins
1st and are priests and religious scholars
Kshatriyas
2nd and are rulers and warriors
Vaishyas
3rd and are herders and merchants
Shudras
4th and are servants
Untouchables
5th and handle trash or dead animals
Buddhist Values
Promoted the Buddha’s teachings and asked people to be loving and respectful, but be nonviolent. lastly, people should not be attached to money.
General Welfare
people should have a good health, shelter, clean water, and food
Justice
People should have fair laws and not be in court or in jail.
Security
People should protect their empire and dealt with issues about peace and conquest.

1st step of enlightenment and King Suddhodana is blessed of getting Prince Siddhartha

2nd step of enlightenment and He has wealth to pay the Shudras to work for him
Discovery of three forms of suffering
3rd step of enlightenment and The three sufferings are Death, Age, and Sickness. These three sufferings belonged to an ascetic
Becoming an Ascetic
4th step of enlightenment and Siddhartha leaves his wealth and prosperity life to become an ascetic with a robe, bowl of alms, and he is bare footed. At the end he hates being an ascetic and does not reach enlightenment
Becoming a Buddha
He learned how to be a Buddha and reach the nirvana. He prayed on a tree which became the Bodhi tree
Weights and scales
The weights and scales were used to measure grains, or currency for pay.
Great Bath
It was used for bathing in hot days and religious rituals in surrounding temples,
Statute and Beads
Women made jewelry with the beads they found during their free time. The statues were made for Brahmins or priests and religious scholars.
Seals
Seals were used to keep bad people away and tags for the agriculture
Sewer system
The sewage ran through clay pipes along streets where they were dumped in the Indus River
Homes
Homes were two stories made of mud bricks and had one to twelve rooms. The front faced narrow valleys and the back faced courtyards
Games
Games were played by kids such as stone balls, clay mazes, or tracks
Clay Models
Clay models were made for purpose to represent something or used as a toy
