What are communicable diseases?
Communicable diseases are diseases that can pass form an infected person to a healthy person.
What does contagious mean?
A disease that spreads very quickly.
What is the common cold caused by?
It is caused by germs in the air. If you breathe in the germs, they multiply in your body and you get sick.
What is TB stand for?
Tuberculosis.
What is TB caused by?
It is caused by the the TB germ. TB can spread through the air. When someone with TB coughs, spits or sneezes, TB germs are in the moisture droplets which pass through the air. Other people breathe in the germs.
What happens when a person breathes in the TB germs?
The TB germs attack the linings in your body, mainly the lungs.
What is mumps caused by?
A virus.
What is chickenpox caused by?
A virus.
