Quartering and Stamp act- go

A

-1765 pls remember this year
-basically. people are already nervous about the sugar act, but the stamp act is the first direct tax. oh f*** no the colonists are not standing for that. Theres a couple of dramatic speechs (Patrick henry’s Virginia Resolves) and some sons of liberty activity, as well as a Petition sent by the STamp Act Congress. But Parliament backs down after a buycott, which is key.
