Bills of Attainder
A piece of legislation that declares a party guilty of a crime. Allows the government to punish a party without first going through a trial process.
Writ of Habeas Corpus
This is used to bring a person in custody before a court to determine if their imprisonment is lawful or not.

The legal standard that must be met in order to obtain a warrant. (a reasonable belief, based on specific facts, that someone has committed, is committing, or is about to commit a crime)

“You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say or do may be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to speak with an attorney before speaking to the police and to have an attorney present during questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one can be appointed for you.” These must be said to a person directly after or during arrest.
Bail
temporarily one can get out of jail before their trial (sometimes a sum of money is necessary) They must guarantee their attendance in court!
