Where do tropical rainforests grow?
They grow in hot areas that get lots of rain.
Where are most of the rainforests found?
Along the Equator.
Why is the weather in a rainforest humid?
It is humid because it is hot and wet.
What does the hot and wet climate allow?
vegetation, animals
It allows a variety of vegetation to grow. There are plants that are low to the ground, tall trees, and plants that climb and grow on other plants. There are also many different animals, including frogs, birds and insects.
What is vegetation?
Vegetation is the plants, bushes and trees that grow in an area.
What is wildlife?
Wildlife is animals and plants growing in natural conditions.
What is deforestation?
Deforestation happens when forests are cut down and cleared away. Large parts of rainforests are cut down or burnt because of logging, farming, mining and road-building.
What is logging?
Logging is cutting down trees to use their wood.
