Primary, Secondary and Tertiary
Describe the Primary industry.
This is an industry employed in the extraction of raw materials such as coal and oil.
Describe the Secondary industry.
This category of industry is involved with taking the raw material and manufacturing it into a product.
Describe the Tertiary industry.
This is the selling of manufactured goods or providing a service.
What are some examples of Scottish industries?
Whisky, oil and tourism

Where is the main hub for financial services in the UK?
Edinburgh
Where are ICT and electronic technologies mainly located?
Dundee

Describe employment in different industries of the Scottish economy.
Health was the largest industry (16% of all employment) in terms of contribution to Scottish employment. Other industries with large employment bases were retail (9%) , accommodation and food services (7%), business administration and support services (7%), manufacturing (7%) and professional, scientific and technical (7%).
