promotion, providing support
services under the supervision of a

Mental Health Workers
Refers to an entity or individual providing mental health services as defined
in this act, whether public or private, including, but not limited to:
▪ mental health professionals and workers,
▪ social workers and counselors,
▪ peer counselors,
▪ informal community caregivers,
▪ mental health advocate and their organizations,
▪ personal ombudsmen, and
▪ person or entities offering nonmedical alternative therapies.
Mental Health Service Provider
Refers to a person with lived
experience of any mental health
condition including persons who
require, or are undergoing
psychiatric, neurologic, or
psychosocial care.
Service User
is the chief national policy document
for persons with disabilities in the Philippines. It
incorporates all of the essential provisions of earlier
national laws including that of the Batas Pambansa
344 of 1983 or the Accessibility law.
