histograms
used for quantitative data. no gaps in histograms.
cyclical trend
a pattern that tends to repeat itself every few years and its observed for a long time period.
linear equation
type of equation when the slope between any two points is constant
seasonal trend
upward or downward movement in data that repeats regular intervals
positive correlation
exists when one variable decreases as the other variable decreases, or one variable increases while the other increases.
negative corralation
is a relationship between two variables in which one variable increases as the other decreases, and vice versa.
linear correlation
refers to straight-line relationships between two variables.
