Pentecost comes from the Greek word, “pentekostos” which means fifty

The first followers of Jesus came together and a strong wind filled the house where they gathered.

The word creed comes from the Latin word “credo” which means “I believe”

Outlines the faith statements of a particular religion or group
What are the two creeds?
The Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed
Why are there 2 creeds?
Because one is associated with baptism (Apostles) and the other is associated with the Eucharist (Nicene)
What is a covenant?
Agreements between a ruler and the people
What is the word covenant used for?
To express the relationship between God and the Chosen People
What is revelation?
How something is revealed or made known.
How does God reveal himself to humankind?
Through Scripture, Jesus, people, events, and the world around us
