prohibits the federal government from denying a citizen’s right to vote based on race, color, or previous condition of servitude

no state can deprive a person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law, equal protection of the laws, selective incorporation
Seventeenth Amendment
direct election of senators by voters
Nineteenth Amendment
guarantees the right to vote for all citizens, regardless of sex
Twenty-Fourth Amendment
forbids the federal and state governments from imposing taxes on voters during elections
