when a service users is at the center of the care and support they are recieving this care plan should be centered around one person

- if an induviduals information is leaked they can take legal action
- induviduals information only be disclosed with that paticents consent

controls how personal information is used by organsiations must make sure info is: - used fairly & lawfully - kept longer than necasary - accurate

This regulates nurses and midwives by

Independent organisation that helps protect patients and improve medical education
- decides which doctors are qualified to work overseas
- sets standard that doctors should follow
