What is the climate like in tropical rainforests?
climate is the same all year round, between 20-28 degrees and only varies by a few degrees, rainfall is very high, around 2000mm per year, rains everyday
What is the soil like in tropical rainforests?
isn’t very fertile as heavy rainfalls washes nutrients away, nutrients is at the surface due to decayed leaf fall, but this layer is very thin as decay is fast in the warm, moist conditions
What are the plants like in the tropical rainforests?
most trees are evergreen to take advantage of the continual growing season, many trees are tall and vegetation cover is dense, little light touches the floor, lots of epiphytes
What are the animals like in the tropical rainforest?
gorillas, jaguars, anacondas, tree frogs and sloths are examples and insects and birds, they are bright coloured and make a lot of noise
What are the people like in the tropical rainforest?
people have adapted to life, they make a living by hunting, fishing, gathering nuts and berries and growing vegetables
