Population?

Habitat?

A
  • Majority of population live in the valleys as it is more stable. It is more beneficial for wildlife and provides better views.
  • To travel around the mountain, governments and some private companies construct tunnels through mountains which stretch up to 20 kilometers. One example is the GRAND ST BERNARD. These are safe to protect from AVALANCHES too. If tunnel collapses, the whole road is shut down.
