What is Moral?
an action that is good in particular.
EXAMPLE: helping people in need, setting good examples, honesty.
What is Amoral?
an action that isn’t good or bad or they don’t have the proper intelligence to figure out what’s right or wrong.
EXAMPLE: Baby knocks over a glass of milk, siblings take something of yours by accident as they think it’s theirs cause it was on thier dresser or room.
What is immoral
a behavior that is generally bad and an action that doesn’t do any good to others
EXAMPLE: Murder, stealing from a store knowing that if you can’t buy it you shouldn’t steal, lying, cheating.
What are the 4 moral experiences?
Personal Response, The Other, Obligation and Contrast.
Explain Personal Response.
Urges you to not think but to act
Explain The Other.
Starts with the face of someone in need.
All face to face encounters are ethical as it reminds us of our responsibility to the other

Feeling obliged to obey a rule or law.
*An authorative figure in your life cacn convice you to follow his or her reasoning/wishes/rules.
Explain Contrast.
Feeling outraged by something unjust/unfair happening to yourself or others.
What does S.T.O.P stand for?
S-earch out the facts
T-hink about the alternatives
O-thers can help you make good decisions
P-ray always for guidance
What is the 3 sources of morality?
Moral Object, The Intention and Circumstances.
Explain Moral Object.
(WHAT)- The most important question to ask when making a moral decision.
Explain The Intention.
(WHY)- Helps to uncover the motive/intention for performing an action.
Explain Circumstances.
(WHO, WHEN, WHERE, AND HOW)
Explain “Think about the alternatives and consequences”.
- You should not make moral decisions until you consider all alternatives.While some alternatives produce good moral results, others are evil
Explain “Others can help you make good decisions”.
Consulting with someone who has faced the same/similar issue is a wise move and the Magisterium is an important source of moral guidance for Catholics.
