The Indian removal act allowed the government to switch what lands the native americans owned, effectively removing their hold over their land, and as they were forced to move, many died along the way, leading to their path being called “the trail of tears.
What was the impact of the Indian Removal Act on Southeast Native Americans?
It killed many of them, sickened many others, and displaced them all from their homes, often with only the clothes on their back, and not ev en shoes to prevent their feet from beong torn up on the long journey.
