  2. Rhythm - the repetition of elements to create a visual tempo or beat
  3. Movement - the way your eyes travel in a room
  4. Proportion & Scale
    Proportion - the ratio of one part to another part or of one part to the whole

Scale - the relative size of an object in relation to other objects

  1. Emphasis - the feature that people see first and repeatedly draws attention
  2. Harmony - unity and variety are combined

  1. Programming - initial meeting with the client on their needs
  2. Schematic Design - initial design, ideas, and concepts
  3. Design Development - design to present to the client
  4. Contract Documents - designer plans and coordinates when, where, and by whom
  5. Contract Administration - designer oversees project from construction to final product
