Observation
An act or instance of regarding attentively or watching.
Data
Data science is a concept to unify statistics, data analysis, informatics, and their related methods to understand and analyze actual phenomena with data.
Variable
any factor, trait, or condition that can exist in differing amounts or types.
Precision
how close measurements of the same item are to each other
Accuracy
how close a measurement is to the true or accepted value
Predict
a specific statement about what will occur (i.e. the outcome or pattern that will be observed) in a particular research investigation (e.g., an experiment).
Infer
the process of drawing conclusions based on evidence and reasoning.
Independent Variable
the variable you manipulate, control, or vary in an experimental study to explore its effects.
dependent Variable
what changes as a result of the independent variable manipulation in experiments.
Line graph
a graph that uses lines to connect individual data points.
Bar graph
a graphical representation of data, quantities, or numbers using bars or strips
Pie graph
a way of summarizing a set of nominal data or displaying the different values of a given variable
Scatter plot
uses dots to represent values for two different numeric variables.
