Consider the view you may have of the person/organisation when you read the text.
Attitudes
Consider the writer’s viewpoint on the subject. Is it positive or negative? How is this made clear to the reader?
Intended audience
Look closely at the content and language to work out who the text is targeting.
Persuasive techniques
How does the writer use techniques to reinforce their viewpoint? Consider topic, tone, headlines/title, language and presentation. Do not give your own views on the issue.
