Q

Why make moral decisions?

A

Our primary goal in Christian morality is to collaborate with God’s grace. We should be good because that is how God made us; God has given us a share in his life and in his love; God has given us his grace to justify us and sanctify us so that we can live in perfect communion with him and all the saints for all eternity. We are free to choose between right and wrong, but not free to decide what is right and wrong. Moral truth is objective and based in God’s Eternal Law. Obeying moral law makes us more free; immoral behavior traps and imprisons us.
