Proper posture
Feet flat, back straight, Arms out, leaning forward, elbows higher than key, knees slightly under keyboard
Curved fingers (four good reasons for playing with curved fingers)
When curved, each fingers has same length, Brings thumb finger in the correct position, keys respond instantly, Curved makes it possible for an arch to cross over and under the thumbs

Thumb – 1, Pointer – 2, Middle – 3, Ring – 4, Pinky – 5.

Treble clef
Clef for right hand notes on the piano for higher notes
Whole note
Whole notes are worth 4 beats of sound
Bass clef
Clef for the left hand notes on the piano for lower pitches
Grand staff
Treble and Bass clef connects by having a bracket, it instructs the musician to play both clefs at the same time

A symbol that connects a treble and bass clef to form a grand staff
