Secondary storage
Types of non-volatile memory that are used to permanently store data such as the operating system and user files
Access speed
The speed at which data can be written to and read from a storage device
Resistive Touch Screen
A flexible surface that causes contact between electrically resistive layers beneath when touched
Capacitive touch screen
A rigid surface above a conductive layer that undergoes a change in electrical state when a finger touches the screen
RAM
Random Access Memory. Memory in which the locations can be accessed directly in any order.
ROM
Read Only Memory. Memory that can be read from, but not written to.
Register
Storage location within the processor
