A
  • the couple had been on a honeymoon trip to the Great Barrier Reef in AUS
  • incident occured on the 22nd Oct 2003
  • couple met in college, together for a year before they got engages, and was married to eachother for 11 years
  • Gabe was a salesmen
  • Gabe had prior experience to scuba diving (as a rescue driver), Tina was relatively new
  • Good weather conditions, however there was a strong current
  • The couple denied the ‘Orientation Dive’ lesson
  • After their first dive, there were issues with Gabe’s diving computer.
  • When they went in for their second dive, the tide has had decreased. - Gabe left Tina sinking to the bottom of the reef.
  • Gabe was 15 m away from the surface.
  • No reasonable hypothesis as to why Tina could have died.
  • Detectives assume that Tina was fighting for her life before her death. - Forty to forty-five minutes of CPR was given to Tina by medical professions on the boat.
