- What is Bail:
Bail means the police release you from custody if you promise to go to court later to face the charges against you.
Bail may not be granted if the crime is excessively violent, in murder cases or if there is a genuine concern the accused may not appear in court.
- What is Remand:
Remand is the period of time spent in jail before trial if bail has been denied. Yes, it does come off the sentence.
