A
Many challenging problems are challenging because of uncertainty, it affects the outcomes of the agent.

What are the two types of uncertainty?
A
Stochasticity (outcome of actions uncertain, the environment can fluctuate).
State uncertainty (Sensor noise, limited sensor).

What is the problem with using logic to maintain beliefs?
A
It doesn’t scale well, the set of possible states gats huge.
“Qualification problem”, need to specify all exceptions of desired effects of actions.
