Q
Discuss US finding in PE
A
RV wall hypokinesis
- moderate or severe
- McConnells sign apical sparing
RV dilation
- End diastonic diameter >30mm in PSLA
- RV larger than LV in subcostal or apical
- increased tricuspid velocity
- Paradoxical RV septal systolic motion - bowing of the septum
Pulmonary artery hypertension
-dilated IVC with lack of respiratory collapse
3
Q
Discuss US finding in Tamponade
A
Pericardial effusions present
- Right atrial systolic collapse
- Right ventricular diastolic collapse
- Abnormal respiratory varition of transvalvular flow
- Distended IVC
