What is Ultimate Reality
Ultimate reality is defined as that which is far beyond than the existence of humans and exceeds human capacities (transcendent) and yet is also in the state of being within (immanent). Many people tend to believe that Ultimate Reality Is God, however, there are various concepts and ideas of ‘god’ depending on the religious tradition. Ultimate reality can refer to the pursuit of answers to the ‘ultimate’ questions related to life such a ‘Where do we come from?’ or ‘Why am I here?’ Thus, Ultimate Reality can be seen as the source of these mysteries and the foundation of the reality that we are already aware of.
Nature and Purpose of Human life
‘Nature’ refers to how we should live our lives and what makes us human: ‘purpose’ refers to why we are alive (the meaning/reason for our existence). Refers to the questions and reason regarding human life. Many religious provide answers to these ‘big’ questions however humanity is far beyond from knowing everything there is to know.
The meaning of suffering
The experience of serious physical, mental, emotional or spiritual anguish (suffering) can lead to a questioning of religious beliefs or even complete loss of faith. Others may find affirmation and strengthening of their beliefs as a result of suffering, leading to a renewed spirituality and a greater commitment to their faith.
Death and Afterlife
Refers to the understanding and interpretations of questions regarding life and death such as ‘Why are we here?’ ‘What is our purpose in life?’ ‘Why do we die?’ and ‘Is there anything after death?’
The Relationship Between Ultimate Reality and Humanity
Refers to the connections in which humans have with this Ultimate Reality, or in other words, the ways that help humans’ bond with something that is immanent and yet transcendent. This connection is often expressed through the way in which humans act towards other human beings including themselves, animals, and the earth’s resources, and essentially, one’s commitment towards a tradition.

A connection between human beings, interacting with each other socially.
The Relationship Between Human Life and the Rest of the Natural World
Refers to the way in which humans deal with themselves and the natural world which is an important resource for all humankind.
