SCORING
Each time the offense completes a pass in the defense’s end zone, the offense scores a point.
How should you throw a frisbee
Thumb on top of frisbee, index finger on edge. Stand with feet at 90 degree angle to target. Curl wrist back towards your body so your elbow points up and out
- Move arm forward quickly
- Release frisbee with the right amount of power
- Release frisbee as level as possible
Where can the disc be advanced
In any direction by completing a pass to a teammate
When playing indoors what happens to a pass that deflects off of the curtain and is caught
It is allowed
How many steps can a player take with the disc
Up to 3 steps
How should you move your fee
Pivoting- stepping once or more in any direction with the same foot while holding the other foot at its initial point is allowed.
When does a change of possesion occur
When a pass is not completed (ex. dropped, out of bounds, blocked, intercepted), the defense immediately takes possession of the disc and becomes the offense
-After a score, the team that allowed the score is now the team receiving the throw off (same as kick off in football).
No contact rules
- No physical contact is allowed between players.
● Picks and screens are also prohibited.
● A foul occurs when contact is made
FOULS
When a player initiates contact on another player a foul occurs.
● When this happens, the defender (“marker”) must allow a free throw, however, the other players may stay guarded.
