2 Stakeholders attitudes for migration
Shopkeeper: There are more people living in my town so I sell more goods. Migrant workers earn an average of £20,000 per year which is £6,000 - £7,000 of disposable income
Local Resident: They bring new cultures and traditions, which adds to the global mix of British society. I love being able to buy a great variety of food at my local shop
2 Stakeholders attitudes against migration
Local Police Officer: In some counties the police force has to deal with up to 100 different languages. This has cos £800,000 to pay for the translators. We now employ community support officers to translate for us.
Some Political Parties e.g. UKIP: Immigrants pit pressure on public services and community cohesion. We want to introduce a ‘one in one out’ immigration system and set a target to reduce net migration to zero over a five year period
