whats a constitution
Consition is a list of guidelines to follow its seeks to establish the powers and functions of a government
the Uk gov has 3 branches and institutions what are they
secretive- carry out law (defence secretary)
Legative branch- make the laws
Judiary branch- supreme caught judge the laws
what does a constitution do
Defines realonship between sate and individual and is possibly the solution to the problem of power
Parliamentary is sovereignty what does this mean
Sovereignty- parliament has the power to give and take power away
the UK constitution is uncodified what does this mean
(not in one document) some isn’t written down implemented for convivence
what is Unitary power
Unitary power lies with a central body ( government) it sends power e.g. Scottish parliament Scotland has power now
what is Fusion of powers
executive Brach ( gov) and legislative branch (parliament/house of lords of Lords ) intermingle with one another
what is Flexible
Parliament can make any law it wishes it can make and repeal law
how many seats are in parliament
650 seats in parliament 326 to win winning half forms the government
