BLT Steps

A
  1. Disengagement: compress or decompress joint or tissue until there is light change in tissue texture, disengages injury so that displaced tissue can be moved
  2. Exaggeration: joint taken towards ease (into direction of injury)
  3. use small movements to position joint to point of balance tension, this point feels like tension is equal in all planes of motion and becomes fulcrum around which inherent forces (physiologic mechanisms) work, hold this point until a change in tissue texture occur as joint returns to its physiological neutral
