UDP Flashcards
Unified process phase 1 inception
Primary objective: set the business case and project scope
- identify all the external entities(actors) with which the system is to interact
- define the nature of the actors interactions/ identify use cases
- describe critical use cases
- business case includes success criteria, risk assessment, resources needed, project plan with major milestones.
Deliverables: vision document, initial use cases model 10 - 20% complete business case, business model, project plan
Unified process pages 2 elaboration
Major objectives
- establishment a baseline for the architecture through prototyping
- eliminate the high risk elements
- further tie down the problem domain by refining user requirement
- add detail to the project plan
Deliverables: 80% complete use case model, software architecture description, an executable architectural prototype, revised risk list, revised project plan
Unified process phase 3 construction
Primary objective: produce and test the release planned for this cycle
- basically involves constructing ;and testing all the remaining components left from the elaboration phase
Deliverables: software release for this cycle, fully inter grated across all relevant platforms, full user documentation for the release, a description of the functionality of this release
Unified process phase 4 transition
Purpose: do the actual delivery into the production environment. This phase is entered when the release has reached a suffice t maturity to warrant distribution.
Objectives: achieve user acceptance and ‘user self-operation, achieve stakeholder agreement on completion
Major effort on user documentation, training
User satisfied, did we meet criteria, move onto next release
