must be understood by every member of the society to have a meaning within the culture

Type of Norms that are acceptable actions within boundaries set by society or culture. It is the rules & regulations established by social institutions & govs for the people to comply with. It is classified
Formal Norms
Type of Formal Norms that is guided by standards of society, they determine what are acceptable & unacceptable

Law
Type of Norms that are traditional customers of culture, which are socially accepted but not morally significant. They are also called “Folkways”

This are physical objects that manifest culture’s norms and values and other elements of culture
they are the material representations of culture
examples include traditional clothes and jewelry, tools and houses
Artifacts
This Are abstract concepts that make judgements on and/or determine what is good and desirable and what is bad and undesirable within a culture
- may be specific or collective
Values
each culture has unique characters. because it evolves and has developed some variations.
Cultural Variation
deriberately opposes certain aspects of the dominat culture. Its specific norms, values, & beliefs may challenge /contradict the widely accepted culture of society
