1st amendment
Freedom of speech, religion, press, assembly
2nd amendment
The right of people to bear arms
4th amendment
Secure themselves and their homes from unreasonable searches and seizures.
5th amendment
The right to silence. Protects defendants from having to testify if they may incriminate themselves during the testimony. Double jepordy. MIRANDA RIGHTS
6th amendment
Hold the right to a speedy and public trial. Also to be informed of the reasoning of conviction/accusation. A right to a lawyer.
8th amendment
Excessive bail, fines or unusual and cruel punishments are forbidden.
9th amendment
The rights of citizens will be protected even if those rights aren’t listed.
14th amendment
Equal Protection Clause, Due Process Clause, Citizenship Clause
