Natural Conception:
Union of egg and sperm in fallopian tube that forms a zygote cell
IVF:
Eggs are retrieved from ovaries and combined with sperm in a lab
IUI:
Sperm is collected and placed inside uterus during ovulation to increase fertilization

Typical Menstrual Cycle:
- Average cycle is about 28-32 days
- About 300-500 eggs will mature
Calculating Ovulation Range:
Example: First day 9/14
- Ovulation occurs 12-16 days from 1st day of last period
- First day 9/14–> ovulating 9/25-9/29

HCG

Characteristics of identical multiples:
- Look almost exactly alike
- Same genes and gender

Calculating Gestational Age:
Example: 9/1
- Identify 1st day of last period: 9/1
- Count back 3 months: 6/1
- Add seven days: 1+7=8
- Due date: 6/8
