What are RTKs?
A
Signal receptors!
-span the cell membrane and contain intrinsic kinase activity
They are enzymes!

What are the three domains of RTKs?
A
-extracellular signal binding domain
-transmembrane segment –> a single alpha helix to cross the cell/plasma membrane
-Intracellular kinase domain

A
-found in nearly all cells!
