Q

Seal Water Flow Path and function

A

Receives water and Throttles FRV 259, 260, 261,262 to maintain seal water outlet temperature between 120 and 165. Seal water of higher pressure than feed water is supplied to a tortourous path to prevent feedwater from leaking out and flashing to steam.

Q

Transferring Main Feed Pump lube oil coolers

A

Valve has 3 Positions secured with locknut

  1. Counter Clockwise = 1 cooler in Service
  2. Half way between Clockwise and Counterclockwise= 2 Coolers in Service
  3. Clockwise = 1 cooler in service. Not the same as in number 1

Fill valve opens to allow flow to both coolers until oil vents through to the tank.
