What does SPORT stand for

A

S- Specificity (matching training to the activity and components of fitness to be developed)
P+O- Progressive overload (gradually increasing the amount of overload so that fitness gains occur without injury)
R- Reversibility (any fitness improvement or adaption caused by training will gradually reverse and be lost when training stops)
T- Tedium (needs to be variety in training or it will become boring)
