How does literary fiction entertain the reader?

- descriptive and figurative language to capture the reader’s imagination

- texts will often build the tension towards a dramatic climax or use repitition and varied sentance structure to change the pace of a text
- dialogue is used to move the plot and give insight to the thoughts and feelings of different characters
