Types of State
-Unitary State: unique central power that manages the entire territory (Italy, France, Spain)
-Federal State: State composed by other States: central power that considers the power of the component States (USA, Germany, Russia)
-Confederation: Union of States tha maintain their autonomy for internal matters, and are unified in an association (EU)
Forms of State
-Absolute State: Sovereigntly belongs to one person 8with an absolute power)
-Liberal State (it doesn’t exist anymore): power belongs to an elite: only rich people can vote
-Democratic State: sovereignty belongs to people, universal suffrage.
It’s also a Welfare State (promotes people wellness)
Forms of governements
-Monarchy: sovereignty belongs to a King
-Republic: (presidential republic: president elected by people and has the executive power, semi-presidential republic: presidential republic but need to be trusted by Parliament; Parliament Republic: President only rapresentative role, Parliament does important tasks)
-Dictatorship
-Teocracy: religion rapresentative holds the power of the State (Vatican City, Iran republic)
