may display bizarre physical movements, ranging from motionless stupor to violent hyperactivity and alternation between two extremes
may become rigid and mute, hold one position for hours w/o moving, fail to react to outside stimulus
catatonic
delusions that people are persecuting them or delusions of grandeur, may trust no one and may be angry or anxious about supposed tormentors
paranoid
delusions, hallucinations, and incoherent typical of schizophrenia, however the individual does not neatly fit any of the one types
