Advantages:

- generally faster than job

A
Involves a series of processes which raw materials go through, end result is a large quantity of a finished product.

Cellular production
A
Entire process of production is sp;it into small groups (cells)
Advantages:
- closeness of cell members should improve communication
- should be gr8er work motivation (variety, responsibilities)
Disadvantages:
- workers feel they’re being constantly pushed
- new equipment may be required for the industrial cells
- can’t use machines as intensely as they would in traditional flow production.
