a big difference is the memory structure. con neueman architecture uses single memory space for both program instructions and data. where as harvard architecutre uses seperate memory spaces. for program instructions and for data. another big difference between the two is speed and efficieny. harvard archtecture is typically faster because data and instructions are fetched at the same time. where as von neuman has to wait for the CPU to retrieve data or instructions one after the other [4]

because GPU handles complex lighting effects like lighting and shadows. modern games use more advanced lighting which needs much higher amount of calculations. GPU would be mich more suitable the CPU because of its specific architecturre. also GPU had memory specifically ade for graphics it stores stuff like textures[3]
