what is the poem my papa’s waltz about?
A
the narrator is a young boy who talks about how his dad comes home some nights after working a long day, pours himself a drink, and teaches his son how to dance the waltz. They dance all over the house, his dad taps on his sons head to the beat of the steps, and they dance so hard he scrapes his ear on his dads buckle. This is one of the few memories the author has of his father who was a hard worker in his green house.
