Haiku is an environmental or naturalistic Japanese poem with a syllable count of 5-7-5
What is a tanka?
Japanese poem similar to the Haiku but doesn’t need rhyming and uses many literary devices. Syllables- 5-7-5-7-7
Lyric poetry?
Expresses thoughts and feeling about a subject in an extremely rhythmic almost musical and brief way
Dramatic poetry?
Where the speaker is clearly someone other than the poet. Form of dialog.
Narrative poetry?
Poetry that tells a story. Has a plot characters setting ect.
Free verse?
No stanza count or rhyming patterns. No attic feet either.
