Inability to interpret sensations and recognize things

- People can see but can’t understand what they see
- Inability to:
- recognise colour of objects
- recognise objects and name them
- recognise familiar places
- Caused by damage to pathways connects occipital and parietal lobe

What is prosopagnosia? What are its symptoms? What causes it?
A
- Can see faces but cannot recognise
- Inability to:
- recognise ppl from their faces
- differentiate faces
- recognise FAMILIAR faces
- Caused by damage to fusiform face area (FFA)
