Q

Evaluation?

A

Clinical evidence - HM and Clive Wearing - episodic memory was affected but not semantic and procedural
Neuroimaging evidence - Tulving (1994) scanned ppts brains with a PET scanner- episodic and semantic stored in the prefrontal cortex
Real life applications - Belleville (2006) - episodic memory could be improved in older people who have a mild cognitive impairment
Clinical trials are hard to control
Cohen and Squire (1980) argued that episodic and semantic memory are stored in the declarative memory store
