Q

what are the main evaluation points to types of LTM?

A

1) real life applications - Belleville (episodic memories leads to improved in older ppl w/ cognitive impairments and training)
2) problems with clinical evidence (focuses on memory damage) - lacks variable control = difficulty generalising from case studies
3) how many stores are there? - Tulving, Cohen and Squire suggest that episodic and semantic memories are stored together (declarative)
