What are cartilaginous joints ?
A
These occur where bones are united by intervening cartilage such as the vertebral column, the public bones and the diaphysis epiphysis

Synovial joints ?
A
The main feature of synovial joints is mobility:
•ball & socket - hip and shoulder
•hinge - elbow, knee, ankle
•pivot - atlas+axis, radius+ulna
•condyloid - between carpals in the wrist and tarsals in the feet
•gliding - between vertebrae
•saddle - thumb
