What is social engineering?
A broad range of activities involving human interactions to accomplish a malicious goal. It exploits weaknesses in human psychology, by manipulating the victim into giving away sensitive information or making other security mistakes. Usually used by criminals to commit financial fraud.
What is phishing?
It is a type of social engineering attack where the attacker sends fraudulent communications to the victims to steal user data. The attacker tricks the victim into providing sensitive information by masquerading as a reputable source, such as passwords or credit card numbers.
What is credit card theft?
Stealing credit card information of a victim to make unauthorized purchases or sell the information to other cyber criminals.
What is identity theft?
Stealing the personal information of a victim for various purposes, such as opening a bank account or a new line of credit.
